[Fashion For Charity] Stand With Standing Rock

I am a huge fan of brands that stands for a purpose, makes great quality garments, and creates their own trends. Ever since I've became an ambassador for The Urban Atlas, I've discovered many great brands. One brand stood out to me the most, mainly for their cut & sew design patterns, and their support for Standing Rock. That brand is Akomplice. Based out of Los Angeles, California. Akomplice was found in 2004, and it is a movement characterized solely by the love inherent in each individual moment. Their philosophy is evolution through innovation. Akomplice is currently donating 100% of their profit made from their Standing Rock Capsule to help protest and provide supplies for the Standing Rock camps & Sioux Tribe.

Whats going on in Standing Rock?

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Army Corps) was granted Authorization to the Dakota Access Pipeline to be constructed against the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's will. That pipeline goes through sacred religious/cultural sites, burial sites, and access to water. We all need water to survive! Native Americans in the U.S. have suffered for over 500 years.
