Georgetown is considered, by many, to be one of the best parts of Washington D.C. It boasts historic buildings and the old canal, as well as high-end shopping and good eats.

Georgetown is separated into three large parts: the waterfront that overlooks the Potomac river; the Georgetown University Campus, the nation's oldest Catholic and Jesuit college; and M street (and the surrounding areas), which is where you will find the majority of shopping and restaurants.

In rain or shine, snow or sun, Georgetown is a crowd-pleasure. Whether you are a native who hasn't been, or a visitor to the area, Georgetown is a must! Oh, and while you are there, make sure you grab a cupcake for me!
